Michigan Women's Retreats

Women's Retreats the SpringHill way. More than a conference!

Remove yourself from daily life, and reignite your soul in a totally unique environment.

Join other women in becoming better neighbors, moms, wives, and friends - all while having a blast at SpringHill. Women's Retreat includes worship, thought-provoking discussions, and energizing fun. Come share fellowship with other believers and allow space for God to speak into your life.

A retreat at SpringHill is so much more than a conference. It's an opportunity to experience for yourself the kind of life transformation that affects thousands of children, teens and young adults every year. SpringHill brings it all together in a unique combination of faith and fun, that allows you to not only listen to the Word, but see, hear, and experience God as well.

During free time, you can attend breakout sessions with speakers from all walks of life, or find a quiet place, grab a cup of tea, and dive deeper into God's word without distractions. Or go a little crazy, try a zipline, a trail ride, or a little paintball... Your kids loved it, and now you will too!

Featuring Liz Curtis Higgs

Liz Curtis Higgs has 3 abiding passions: encouraging sisters in Christ, exploring the stories of women in the Bible, and writing novels set in Scotland of old. When she's not traveling, speaking, or spinning a story, she connects with readers online, takes copious photos, reads historical novels, and watches period films. Liz says she is a lame housekeeper, a marginal cook, and a mediocre gardener, but home is still her favorite place to land.

Liz is married to Bill Higgs, Ph.D., who serves as Director of Operations for her speaking and writing, and they have 2 adult children. If you want to make Liz a happy camper, just ask about her twin tabby cats, Boaz and Samson.

"Everything is done with such a spirit of God that I feel His love with every speaker, singer and volunteer."

Worship Band: Alanna Story

From as early as age 13, sisters Ally West and Anna Hodge have been using their gifts to lead others in worship. In 2008, the sisters combined their names, their love for stories and testimonies, and officially formed Alanna Story.

As both worship leaders and original artists, Alanna Story has released five recording projects over the last eight years. Keep Breathing (2009), Flickering Spark (2011), Just Offshore (2013), Ancient Gates (2014), and We Hymn (2016).

"We are both corporate worship leaders and original artists, and those two have never been separate for us. They go together in such a beautiful way," Ally shares. "We write songs to open hearts and to break down barriers. To point out things that maybe we can't see on our own."

As an English major with a love for words, Anna shares the same heart for writing, "I want to make music that helps bridge the gap between the heart of God and the distracted reality we often find ourselves in. I want our songs to put words to unseen things and ultimately help lead people to a place of authentic worship."

"I love the SpringHill Women's Retreat because I'm able to immerse myself in God's creation and leave the busyness of life behind for a weekend. From the wonderful speakers to the fun activities and crafts, I get to spend time with new and old friends and learn so much about myself and God. This is a weekend you cannot miss, ladies."

Women's Retreat Guest

"I came to the Women's Retreat after being invited by a friend. I was feeling alone and separated from God. This weekend reminded me that I am His daughter, deeply loved and cared for. I am not alone. I am never alone. Thank you for a phenomenal time and amazing reminder of His presence in my life."
