Our goal is to integrate faith and fun throughout each day of camp. Here's how we do that:
"Thank you for giving my kids the tools they need to trust God in real life situations because of what they experienced during the week at Day Camp."
Day Camp Parent
Every aspect of camp is purposefully designed to meet campers where they are and challenge them in their developmental growth. Our camp counselors are critical to making this happen - they are emotionally invested in your child throughout the week and provide a young Christian role model they can look up to.
"My son loved every moment of his week at day camp. When I asked him what he would miss the most, he choked out "Mike & Ashley" (his counselors). Those relationships gave meaning to camp. My heart is overflowing with thankfulness for the creative energy and the love for God the counselors give to kids."
Day Camp Parent
Campers are never alone (out of "eye-shot") with another camper or counselor. Campers are always in groups of at least three, with two campers and one counselor at a minimum.
Sunscreen is applied generously each day.
We allow time for water breaks before and after every activity and strongly recommend campers bring water bottles to camp.
We always have alternative indoor activities and schedules to accommodate rain or high temperatures.
Counselors are never alone with your child for bathroom breaks. At least two campers always go with one counselor.
We learn and incorporate the Emergency Action Plans (EAP) of our local Day Camp Partners into our own EAP. Additionally, we always connect with local EMS to make them aware of our presence in their community.
All counselors are trained in our behavior management and anti-bullying policy. If a behavior does arise that causes a disturbance, it is dealt with immediately.
